COVID-19 policies and guidelines:

Annapolis Dermatology Center understands the concerns surrounding Covid-19 across the communities we serve.  The health, wellbeing and safety of our patients, physicians and staff is our top priority. We are continuously monitoring all developments related to Covid-19, and we are strictly adhering to all guidelines issued by the Center of Disease (CDC), WHO and our local and state governments.  This includes the most up-to-date travel guidelines for the state of Maryland.

At Annapolis Dermatology Center, we are dedicated to meeting your dermatologic needs.  Patients with upcoming In-Office appointments must follow our Covid-19 guidelines.

To follow social distancing guidelines, we are limiting the number of patients in our office at one time.  Office visits are being restricted to "patients" only unless additional assistance is needed to arrive to your visit.  All other visitors are restricted to enter the office at this time.

We are utilizing our parking lot as an alternative waiting room.  All appointments must be checked in by either calling the office at 410-268-3887 or texting the office at 410-376-5363 from your vehicle in the parking lot. Our staff will inform you when your exam room is ready and to enter the office. Texting is limited to patients "checking-in" only.

Everyone must wear a cloth or surgical mask.  Masks are required for adults and minors as outlined in the executive orders from our state officials.  N95 masks with respirators and Gaiter Masks are prohibited to wear for your appointment, please use cloth or surgical mask only.

All patients and staff will have their temperatures taken before entering the office.

Hand sanitizer is provided to all patients upon arrival to our waiting room.

Magazines, pamphlets, children's toys and refreshments are no longer offered at this time in the office.

Elective cosmetic procedures are limited.  Please call with details.

All staff has been trained in infection and control policies, standard precautions, and hand hygiene.  We employ proper envirionmental cleaning techniques.

We are increasing the awareness of all of our staff to be alert for signs and symptoms of Covid-19.  All patients and staff are screened daily for Covid-19. If you answer "YES" to any of the following questions, please let us know immediately.  We may need to reschedule your appointment to a future time.

1. Have you tested positive for COVID-19 or been diagnosed with COVID-19?  If yes, When?

2. Do you have any of the following symptoms:  FEVER, COUGH, DIFFICULTY BREATHING, MUSCLE ACHES/SORENESS, LOSS OF SMELL OR TASTE, SORE THROAT, or NAUSEA/DIARRHEA?

3. Have you been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19?

4. Is there any reason you cannot wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth for the entire time that you are in the office?

5. Are you waiting or someone close to you waiting for pending test results for COVID-19?

We encourage high-risk patients to make informed decisions about their care.  Covid-19 is a new disease and the medical community is learning more about it each day.  Certain populations are at higher risk of complications arising from the disease.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention consider the following individuals to be at high risk.

  • Adults aged 65 or older
  • Cancer
  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
  • Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies.
  • Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant.
  • Obesity (body mass index (BMI) of 30kb/m2 or higher but <40kg/m2.
  • Severe Obesity (BMI > 40kb/m2)
